Abstract:
To provide a laser beam machining apparatus which performs groove machining onto a steel plate.SOLUTION: A laser beam machining apparatus 1 which scans the surface of a steel plate ES with laser beam LB and, thereby, forms a line-shaped groove part or a line-shaped strain part on the steel plate ES includes a laser beam emission part, a scanning mirror Mp, minor axis condensing mirror ML which condenses beam in the direction of a first axis corresponding to short axis of a beam spot and a focus position adjusting mirror Ms which radiates onto the surface of the steel plate ES. Therein, the scanning mirror Mp scans the surface of the steel plate ES with laser beam LB and the focus position adjusting mirror Ms has a curvature which condenses the laser beam LB to a point on the surface of the steel plate at which a condensed light focal distance that is a distance provided by subtracting a distance between a point at which the laser beam LB is reflected on the minor axis condensing mirror ML and a point at which the laser beam LB is reflected on the focus position adjusting mirror Ms from the focal distance of the minor condensing mirror ML is equal to a distance from a point at which the laser beam LB is reflected on the focus position adjusting mirror Ms.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
