Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify a laser system while enhancing energy efficiency and separation performance.
CONSTITUTION: A dye laser 2 being pumped by a variable wavelength excimer laser 1 is employed for selective pumping and oscillation light (308nm) of excimer laser is employed for ionization. A pumping level is selected such that the sum of wavelength of the dye laser 2 and the excimer laser is higher than the ionization leve,l and the variable wavelength of the excimer laser is tuned to an automatic ionization level within some range. This constitution allows efficient optical ionization.
