Title:
LASER TIMING REGULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3231862
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a laser timing regulator in which laser outputs from respective systems for controlling discharge at predetermined timings are multiplexed optically and detected by one optical detecting means and abnormal system is specified if the output from the optical detecting means is abnormal followed by specification of abnormal laser.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs from lasers 11, 12-1n for respective systems are multiplexed by an optical multiplexer 21 and a part thereof is then reflected on a partial reflection mirror 22 and detected by an optical detector 23. Output from the detector 23 is monitored by an output monitor 24 and if it is abnormal, an output abnormal signal is delivered to a timing regulator 25. The regulator 25 then shifts the discharge timings of the lasers 11, 12-1n for respective systems and laser outputs from respective systems are decided in time series thus specifying an abnormal system. Discharge timings of lasers 11, 12-1n are then shifted one by one for the system thus specified and laser outputs are decided in time series thus specifying an abnormal laser. This constitution allows automatic specification of failed laser.
