The laser welding method for a rust preventive steel plate 101 comprises: a step of irradiating a galvanizing layer 102a of the overlapped surfaces of a first rust preventive steel plate 101 and a second rust preventive steel plate 102, which are overlapped, with a laser beam from the side of a first rust preventive steel plate 101 with such a heat input amount as to reach the layer 120a but not to penetrate the second rust preventive steel plate 102; and a step of conducting a second laser beam irradiation from the side of the first rust preventive steel plate 101 with such a heat input amount as to be larger than that of the first laser beam irradiation and to complete the welding of the first rust preventive steel plate 101 and the second rust preventive steel plate 102.
