PURPOSE: To decrease the fraction defective of a product by making the time between each real welding of laser welding approximately the same as the time from waste welding to real welding.
CONSTITUTION: A wire assembly 24 and a spring 21 are set to a welding jig 14. A metallic plate 16 for waste welding is attached to the jig 14. The plate 16 is subjected to several times of waste welding and thereafter an X-Y table is moved to the prescribed extent and laser light is irradiated to the weld zone of the #1 spring to execute welding. The X-Y table is further moved to the prescribed extent and the welding of the 2nd weld zone of the #1 spring is executed. The moving time from the waste welding to the real welding and the real welding time are set approximately the same time. The #2W#8 springs are subjected to the similar welding. The welding is stabilized by the method of such time distribution and the fraction defective of the product is decreased.
