To provide a latch device for a door in a cabinet with a flap door, in which a structure and an assembly operation are simplified and which can be operated accurately without depending upon the raw material and rigidity of the door and can be miniaturized and lightened.

A latch lever 40, which is directed towards a rear lower section and in which an upward latch pawl 44 is mounted on a rear section, is pivotally attached rotatably at an engaging place, where a latch pawl 44 is engaged with an engaging hole 43 formed to the underside of the center of the front section of a bottom plate 34 in a cabinet body 6, and a releasing place, where the latch pawl 44 is released from the engaging hole 43, in the lower section of the center of the rear of the door 7, and an urging means 46 urging the latch lever 40 towards the engaging place is installed to the door 7.
