Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawer latch device which can be assembled easily without the need for performing complex grooving work on the wooden front panel of a drawer and which is ensured as to its operation.
SOLUTION: A knob member having a downward finger hook 8a is pivotally attached by a horizontal shaft 8b of the lateral direction to the inside of a drawer opening 5 provided in the wooden front panel 3 of a drawer main body 1. The rear end of the drawer member is projected behind the front panel 3, from which an arm 9 integrated with the drawer member is extended up to near one side of the drawer main body 1. The lower end 10a of a pressing piece 10 hanging from the end of the arm 9 is made to abut to a latch member pivotally attached by a vertical shaft 16 to the inside of a dent 11 provided in the rear face of the side end of the front panel 3, and a part of the latch member projecting rearward from the dent 11 is linked to the side panel 2 of a drawer storage furniture main body in such a way that it rotates in the direction in which it is locked to and unlocked from the side panel 2.
