Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch release mechanism capable of extracting an optical transceiver from a cage in the state in which an optical connector is mounted on the optical transceiver.SOLUTION: The latch release mechanism 1 includes a latch release member 6 for releasing the latch between a latch section 3 formed in a cage 2 and a latched section 5 formed in an optical transceiver 4 disposed so as to be inserted into or removed from the cage 2. The latch release member 6 includes a wedge section 7 that is slidably inserted between the latch section 3 and the latched section 5 and separates the latch section 3 from the latched section 5 to release the latch between the latch section 3 and the latched section 5.
