Abstract:
To obtain a latent catalyst for curing, not curing during a solvent removing process, having a high processing rate, providing a cured resin having a high Tg, useful for obtaining an epoxy resin composition having a high glass transition temperature.
This latent catalyst composition is obtained by bringing (i) a catalyst for curing a polyepoxide compound comprising a compound containing an amine, a heterocyclic nitrogen, phosphine, sulfide, ammonium, phosphonium, sulfonium or arsonium or its mixture into contact with (ii) a curing inhibitor composed of boric acid or maleic acid or a mixture of at least one weakly nucleophilic anion-containing acid and boric acid.
