Abstract:
The material (10) is formed of a lattice of fine wires, comprising three series of interconnected continuous fine wire segments (12). The wire segments are welded together at their points of intersection. At least two of any of the three sets of wire segments are at an angle w.r.t. each other of approx. 60 deg.. The three sets of wire segments are fixed together so that they form a continuous array in three dimensions of trigonal structures. The array can be in the form of equilateral triangles. The wires can have a diameter of between .005 inches and .01 inches.
