To solve the problem in which: a laundry pole is installed all the time in the outside, such as in a veranda, and used as a tool for drying laundry, while a sunshade countermeasure, such as the stretching of a sunshade sheet, is taken for a room facing east, west or south in the summer season with strong sunlight, and after the summer season, troublesome work for packing and storing a screen body, support pipes or the like and a storage place become problems; and there is a case in which a reed screen is not used in the next season because of mold, soil or the like.

According to the present invention, a roll screen function is built in a laundry pole, so that a sunshade countermeasure can be quickly taken when necessary while laundry is dried. Even when it rains suddenly, drainage holes opened at regular intervals in the lower part of a laundry pole pipe can be used to discharge rain water. When it is not used, such as in the winter season, a light-blocking screen body of the roll screen can be stored within the laundry pole, so that time and trouble for packing and storing the light-blocking screen body and a storage place are unnecessary.
