PURPOSE: To provide a laundry self-intermediating machine having a plurality of boxes for enclosing laundry which are used to self-intermediate clothes, wherein a sterilizing light is provided in each of the boxes for enclosing the laundry, thereby enabling inside the boxes to be sterilized and preventing a bad smell to be emitted.

CONSTITUTION: A laundry self-intermediating machine having a plurality of boxes 15 for enclosing laundry comprises: identification sign applying means for applying an identification(ID) sign to the laundry in a deposit mode; memory means for storing a customer ID sign and a laundry ID sign by correlating; box display means for displaying the box 15 unlocked in a taking back mode; and the like. In this case, a sterilizing light 50 for illuminating ultraviolet rays is provided on the surface of the ceiling and a ventilation fan 52 is provided on the back wall of each of the boxes 15. An inlet port 56 is provided on a door 2 of each of the boxes 15. The sterilizing light 50 is turned on only when the clothes are not put, so that an electric discharge light sterilizes inside the box 15 without oxidizing the clothes or equipment due to ozone or the like, and emission of bad smell is prevented.
