Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layered silicate polymer that has an excellent dispersibility in organic material such as organic solvent and that can be uniformly mixed with the coating curative.SOLUTION: Provided is a layered silicate polymer that is a laminate-structure having phyllosilicate mineral-type layered structure comprising a 2:1 or 1:1 type laminate between of a tetrahedral structural layer constituted by silicon and an octahedral structural layer constituted by having a 2 valent metal atom and/or 3 valent metal atom as the central atom, and among which characterized in having organic group bonded to at least some of silicon by covalent bonding, and in that at least one of the organic groups directly bonded to the silicon atoms is one having primary hydroxyl group.
