PURPOSE: To provide a layered structure of a solid electrolyte fuel cell by which a crack caused by thermal expansion can be prevented and which has an excellent electric characteristic and in which solid electrolyte can be used by sealing respective cells and separators by gas in an unjoined condition.
CONSTITUTION: Cells 10 where through holes 15 are formed in the four corners and separators 10 where through holes 25A, 25B, 25C and 25D are similarly formed in the four corners, are placed and layered over a large number of layers without using a sealing material. At this time, the cells 10 and the separators 20 are layered so that a gas passage tube 35A is penetratingly inserted into the through holes 15 and 25A and a gas passage tube 35B is penetratingly inserted into the through holes 15 and 25B and an air passage tube 35C is penetratingly inserted into the through holes 15 and 25C and an air passage tube 35D is penetratingly inerted into the through holes 15 and 25D, respectively. In the gas passage tubes 35A and 35B and the air passage tubes 35C and 35D, slit parts S are formed in the lengthwise direction in the penetratingly inserted parts.
