To provide a laying method for an optical fiber cable holding sheath pipe permitting easy and efficient work only by manual work of a small number of worker.
A sheath pipe module 6 is assembled by fitting and fixing a sheath pipe 1 in a sheath pipe fitting portion 3B formed in a sheath pipe holding band 3 and the sheath pipe module 6 is sent to the inside of sewer pipe from one end of the sewer pipe in the first process, the subsequent sheath pipe is coupled to the rear end of the sheath pipe 1 and these are moved all together to the other end of the sewer pipe in the second process, the front end of sheath pipe of next module assembled in the same manner is coupled to the rear end of the proceeding sheath pipe and these are moved all together toward the other end of the sewer pipes in the third process, the second process and the third process are alternately repeated until the head sheath pipe reaches the other end of the sewer pipe, and the fourth process occurs where the end portions of the sheath pipes at both the end sides of the sewer pipe are fixed to the inner wall of sewer pipe by sheath pipe fixing device.
