PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LD excitation solid-state laser device where the rate of the intention of valid monitor light which is made incident on the light receiving face of a photodetector is not fluctuated by the influence of the slight temperature change of protection resin and a glass substrate and output is stable.
SOLUTION: In the laser device, the laser medium 3 of a solid is excited by output light from a semiconductor laser 1, a non-linear optical element 5 is installed in an optical resonator including the laser medium 3 of the solid, and the second higher harmonic L of a basic wave which is guided/discharged from the laser medium 3 of the solid is outputted to an outer part through an output mirror 6. A part of the output is detected as monitor light Lm by the photodetector 8. The driving current of the semiconductor laser 1 is changed so that the detection output becomes constant and output is stabilized. A means S preventing the multiplex reflection of monitor light which is made incident on the light receiving face 8a and removing the interference of monitor light is installed in the front stage of the light receiving face 8a of the photodetector 8. Thus, laser output Lo does not fluctuate even if the temperature change of resin for light receiving face protection 8c and the glass substrate 8d and the incident angle change of monitor light L rather occur, and a laser proof against the environment change can be obtained.
