Title:
LEAD-ACID BATTERY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3732264
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the reaction between an electrolyte and an electrode active material and improve the performance of a lead-acid battery by providing a lead-acid battery device formed of the lead-acid battery and a vibrating mechanism for vibrating the lead-acid battery.
SOLUTION: A vibrator driving signal is transmitted from a vibrator control part 22 to vibrated a vibrator 14. The vibration of the vibrator 13 is transmitted to the whole body of a lead-acid battery 12 through water 6. The vibration actually transmitted to the electrolyte of the lead-acid battery 12 is monitored by an acceleration sensor 13. In discharging, for example, Pb which is an active material for negative electrode plate is changed to PbSO4. When the whole lead-acid battery 12 is vibrated at this time, a negative electrode plate 102 within the lead-acid battery 12 is vibrated, whereby lead sulfate is prevented from being greatly developed, and made into fine particles. In changing, the led surface formed on the negative electrode plate is returned to the original Pb. Since the lead sulfate satisfactory contacts the electrolyte because it is sufficiently fine, the charging can be finished in a short time with a high reaction speed.
