CONSTITUTION: In an expand type lead-acid battery electrode plate a mesh 7, being not next to a lower part main rib 1 or an upper part main rib 3, forms a hexagon, surrounded by 6 small ribs. A pair of confronting ribs out of the 6 ribs are the thick small ribs 8, having substantially two times indent width against the other small ribs, and the other thin small ribs 9 have extended longer length than that of a lead alloy sheet at an original time. These small ribs are respectively arranged slantwise against the direction of the lower part main rib 1 and upper part main rib 3, and the lug 4 of the upper part main rib 3 deflecting protrudes in the slanting direction of the thick small ribs 8.
