Abstract:
This lead storage battery regeneration device comprises a charging unit (13) for generating a charging voltage, a high-frequency voltage generation unit (12) for generating a high-frequency voltage or a low-voltage pulse to overlap with the charging voltage from the charging unit (13), a high-voltage impulse generation unit (11) for generating a high-voltage impulse, and a control device (20) for controlling the charging unit (13), the high-frequency voltage generation unit (12), and the high-voltage impulse generation unit (11). The control device (20) has an operation mode switching unit for switching between a first operation mode and a second operation mode on the basis of the internal resistance of the lead storage battery. In the first operation mode, the charging voltage from the charging unit (13) overlapped with the high-frequency voltage from the high-frequency voltage generation unit (12) is applied between the electrodes of the lead storage battery in order to dissolve, by induced heat, the surface of sulfation generated on the electrode plate of the lead storage battery. In the second operation mode, the high-voltage impulse from the high-voltage impulse generation unit (11) is applied between the electrodes of the lead storage battery in order to cause a partial dielectric breakdown of a deep portion of the sulfation to allow the conduction of the charging current.
