Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leading edge structure for an airplane and its manufacturing method capable of simplifying the machining and manufacturing work of jigs and parts required for manufacture and capable of sharply reducing the manufacturing cost.
SOLUTION: A warmup chamber is partitioned and formed with an outer shell 2 and a rear bulkhead 5, and the front section of the warmup chamber is partitioned by a front bulkhead 7 to form an ice preventing duct 8 along the wing width direction. Warmup passages 9 are formed along the inner faces of the upper face 3 and the lower face 4 of the outer shell 2 by ribs 9 from the front bulkhead 7 to the rear bulkhead 5 between the upper face 3 and the lower face 4, the components of a leading edge 1 are connected together by diffusion bonding, and the components are superplastically molded.
