Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fully automated washing machine which can surely prevent the rotation of a spin drier during washing and rinsing and reduce the work required for assembly.
SOLUTION: An upper bearing 22 is secured to a mounting plate 60 mounted on the bottom surface of an outer tank from below, and a support shaft 20 for supporting an inner tank (spin drier) provided inside the outer tank is held by the upper bearing 22. A gear case 24 is connected to the lower end of the support shaft 20. The gear case 24 is held by a lower bearing 36 secured to a bearing cover 35. A brake mechanism 27 for braking the rotation of the gear case 24 is provided inside the bearing cover 35. Of the upper bearing 22 and the lower bearing 36, the upper bearing 22 provided closer to the inner tank than the brake mechanism 27 comprises a bearing having the function of a one-way clutch.
