PURPOSE: To detect leakage liquid of a low molecular-weight organic liquid within a wide range, particularly in the longitudinal direction in a storage vessel, etc., accurately and efficiently by dotting leakage liquid detection systems within a wide range, cascade-connecting the systems by lead wires and providing a sensor and an electric resistance detector.
CONSTITUTION: The leakage-liquid detection systems H of low molecular-weight organic liquid are cascade-connected by lead wires L1, L2, and have sensors S1-S3, in which electric resistance is changed by contacts with the low molecular-weight organic liquids and electric resistance detectors electrically connected to the sensors S1 by lead wires L3. The sensors are cascade-connected, and resistance changes generated in the sensors are detected, thus simultaneously detecting the leakage liquids of the low molecular- weight organic liquid efficiently at a section, where the leakage liquids are dotted extending over a wide range are feared. The sensors are dotted while covering the whole regions so that maximum resistance values do not exceed 500KΩ extending over a wide range, thus accurately detecting the leakage liquid of the low molecular- weight organic liquid without being subject to the effect of external induced noises.
