To provide an efficient working method for repairing a piping system using mechanical pipe fittings, capable of preventing water leakage previously and conducting the water bleeding and laying works in a limited time even if the building applicable is of large size, in particular where a large number of mechanical pipe fittings are used.
The method applies to the works to bleed hot water from a steel pipe belonging to hot water piping laid in an architectural facility and coupled by a mechanical type displacement absorbing pipe fitting, and comprises such process that a heat radiating operation is conducted in which a heating medium in the pipe is circulated to the thermal load, confirmation is made that the temperature of the intra-pipe hot water has dropped to become approximately the same as the temperature of the ambient air, pipe materials joined and metal fixtures to restrict their movement are fixed to the piping, and that the water is bled out of the pipe. The metal fixture includes U-bands and L-shaped angles to be attached to the open end of each U-band where the L-shaped angles are coupled together by bolts, and after the radiating operation, the place is left fixed until the water bleeding and laying works are finished.
