To provide an inexpensively installable LED direction indicating device for an escalator or the like providing easy confirmation of the moving direction of the escalator or the like from a distant place.
An LED direction indicating device (1) is installed near an entrance of an escalator or the like in both sides or one side of a passage connected to the entrance; and it includes an LED display part (1D) provided with a plurality of LED elements (1D1) mounted on a strip-like substrate (1D2) and a substrate (1D2) having longitudinal directions in the same direction as an installation direction of the escalator or the like, and a control part (1C) controlling operations of the LED elements (1D1). When the escalator or the like is an escalator, the substrate (1D2) of the LED display part (1D) is provided slanted in the same direction as an inclination of the escalator.
