To provide an LED lighting unit capable of reducing heat loads applied on a circuit board while reducing light interference even if a plurality of LED elements are arranged on the circuit board.
The LED lighting unit has the circuit board 21 on which the plurality of LED elements 22 are mounted and a light transmitting housing 10 in which the circuit board 21 is accommodated. The LED lighting unit includes a light shielding cover 30 formed so as to cover the outer surface of the light transmitting housing 10 and having light exiting opening parts 31a and 31b formed on walls 30b and 30c opposed to the respective LED elements 22 of the plurality of LED elements 22, and a light shielding member 40 which blocks light beams guided in the wall 10b of the transmitting housing 10 in the inner part of a wall 10b so that the light beams emitted from the respective LED elements 22 of the plurality of LED elements 22 are guided in the wall 10b of the transmitting housing 10 and do not interfere with each other.
