Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure beautiful appearance as well as high support strength, in a leg device formed by fixing a branch rod to an outer side face of a main rod.SOLUTION: A main rod 5 to be attached with a top plate is made of a square steel tube, and a branch rod 6 is formed of an aluminum die-cast product. A front end of the branch rod 6 is provided with a joint 21 which overlaps the main rod 5, a reinforcement metal fitting 29 is fixed to the joint 21 with a screw 30, and an engaging claw 31 provided in the reinforcement metal fitting 29 is fitted in an engaging hole 32 of the main rod 5. The joint 21 is fixed to the main rod 5 with a main screw 33. A positioning projection 38 provided in the joint 21 is fitted in a positioning hole 39 of the main rod 5. Because the main rod 5 is made of steel, and attitudes of the main rod 5 and the branch rod 6 are held by the reinforcement metal fitting 29 and positioning projection 39, it is possible to shorten the joint 21 as much as possible while keeping beautiful appearance and ensure high support strength.
