This leg type robot 10 has legs 20R and 20L, a body trunk 12 and a container 16. The legs 20R and 20L are connected to the body trunk 12. The container 16 is suspended from the body trunk 12 in an oscillatable state via a container supporting member 14. The container 16 is suspended from the body trunk 12 so as to be oscillated, and thereby the center of gravity G is stabilized in a state of being located on the vertical lower side of a rotary shaft C1. Even if the body trunk 12 is oscillated by the reaction force of oscillation of the legs 20R and 20L at walking, the container 16 therefore is hard to be oscillated. As a result, the leg type robot making the container 16 mounted with luggage and persons hard to oscillate can be obtained.
