Title:
LEGUME ALIGNING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58139920
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily align legumes by mounting spiral shafts side by side at equal spaces longer than the width of the legume and shorter than the length thereof in the middle of an aligning apparatus for aligning linear legumes such as a kidney bean.

CONSTITUTION: Legumes supplied from a container 6 are guided through a guide belt 4 to an escalator 14, and sorted by projections 18 mounted on the escalator 14 and a rotor 22, whereby most of the legumes are aligned sideways. Subsequently, the legumes drop on a spiral shaft portion 28. Since each space 29 among spiral shafts 28 is longer than the width of the legume and shorter than the length thereof, the longitudinal legumes that are not aligned are arranged sideways and then supplied onto a transport belt 33.
