To provide a length adjusting mechanism for a telescoping member capable of adjusting the connection length between an outer side leg member and an inner side leg member in a small pitch and in a multi-stage method without lowering the strength of the outer side leg member.
Adjusting hole lines 11, 12 are provided in a plurality of positions different to the circumferential direction of the outer side leg member 6 so that locations for the length adjusting hole 10 with respect to respective adjusting hole lines 11, 12 vary and in the inner side leg member 7, a plurality of piercing holes 13 are provided on the same circumferential surface so as to correspond to the respective adjusting hole lines 11, 12 and when the outer side leg member 6 and the inner side leg member 7 using a joining member 9 are joined, adjusting hole lines 11, 12 to be used and its adjusting hole 10 are chosen so that the connection length of the outer side leg member 6 and the inner side leg member 7 is adjusted in the smaller pitch than the location interval of the length adjusting hole 10 of the adjusting hole lines 11, 12.
