A lens array 1 is configured such that a lens plate 11a and a lens plate 11b are arranged across a light-shielding member 13 and a plurality of microlenses 12 are linearly arranged in the lens plates 11a and 11b. An opening 13a as an aperture is cylindrically formed in the light-shielding member 13 and a light absorbing portion 13b absorbing the ray of light of a light-emitting portion as a whole is formed in the inner wall portion of the opening 13a. Since the light absorbing portion 13b is provided, the fact that the ray of light from the object reaches the image forming surface, without being focused as the formed image, that is, the occurrence of the flare can be suppressed so that resolution can be improved.
