Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of manufacturing a lens array without voids, and also to provide the lens array, and a line head including the lens array.

In the method for manufacturing a lens array 430a, a plurality of microlenses 433 are provided on a surface of a tabular base part 431, a mold 360 for manufacturing an array wherein a first concave portion 362 and a second concave portion 364 are formed on an array formation surface 361, is used, a photocurable resin JS is disposed between the mold 360 and a substrate 435, and the mold 360 is pressed under reduced pressure to press-fit the photocurable resin into the first and second concave portions. In this case, the photocurable resin JS is held between the array formation surface 361 and the substrate 435 without protruding from between them. The photocurable resin JS is then irradiated with light and released from the mold 360 for manufacturing the array so as to obtain the lens array 430a.
