Abstract:
To provide a lens array capable of improving the sensitivity when used for a solid-state image pickup device and improving the brightness of a screen when used for a liquid crystal display element.
The lens array is made by arranging a plurality of condenser lenses in the longitudinal and lateral direction and is used by disposing each condenser lens so as to correspond one to one to each pixel which is arranged in two-dimensional plane. Therein, the condenser lenses are Fresnel lenses and the Fresnel lenses have at least two kinds or more of different groove depths every region corresponding to the pixel.
