To provide a lens barrel in which a lens frame does not collide with structures inside the lens barrel, so that generation of collision noise is suppressed, and an image pickup device using the same.
The lens barrel is constructed, including: a first screw part 410 arranged in a focus lens frame 204, a second screw part 420 arranged in a cover unit 112, and a first gear part 440 in which a third screw part 430 engaged with the first screw part 410 and the second screw part 420 is arranged. The third screw part 430 in the first gear part 440 is allowed to engage with both the first screw part 410 and the second screw part 420 by rotating the first gear part 440, thereby fixing the focus lens frame 204 and the cover unit 112. The fixing of the focus lens frame 204 and the cover unit 112 is released by allowing the third screw part 430 in the first gear part 440 to engage with either one of the first screw part 410 or the second screw part 420.
