Title:
LENS BARREL STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04136804
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent effectively the whole structure from increasing in size while preventing the external diameter of a lens from increasing by specifying the fitting positions of projection parts for thermal caulking on a lens holding part when an optical element is fixed and held in a lens barrel by thermal caulking. CONSTITUTION:The projection parts 1b for thermal caulking are provided in four areas corresponding to the respective sides of an image pickup surface off the effective area 4a of the lens 4. When the lens 4 is fixed and held at the lens holding part 1a by thermal caulking, the lens can be fixed and held without any influence upon the effective lens surface nor any increase in the lens external diameter due to the thermal caulking since the projection parts 1b for thermal caulking are provided in the areas corresponding to the respective sides of the rectangular image pickup surface at the outer peripheral part of the lens holding part 1a. Further, the thickness (e) of the projection parts 1b, recess margin size (f) for thermal caulking, and the reception margin size (g) of the lens 5 are made constant to reduce the outward shape size of the lens 4 and decrease the external diameter size of a following lens 5, thereby reducing the size of the whole lens system effectively.
