Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable zooming operation with small defocusing at all times by specifying a cam track for an object which is easily put out of focus during the zooming operation and following up the cam track without correcting the track by an AF device. CONSTITUTION:The operation for switching from a zooming operation state corresponding to a 1st power varying means which corrects the deviation of a focus lens from the cam track to a zooming operation state corresponding to a 2nd power varying means which follows up the specific cam track forcibly without using the output of the AF device according to front-focus or rear-focus information from the AF device is performed during the zooming operation by operating, for example, an infinite-distance direction button (F button) of a manual focus switch 121 which is used to drive the focus lens 105 in the infinite-distance direction. Namely, when an object which is hard to deal with is photographed, the use of a judgement result which is poor in the reliability of the AF device is avoided and lens control using a preset object distance is forcibly performed.
