Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a camera and a video camera which perform excellent zooming operation without defocusing according to stored data even in manual focusing mode by performing the excellent zooming operation when an automatic focus adjustment device is in operation. CONSTITUTION:This controller is equipped with a 1st power varying means which performs power varying operation while maintaining an in-focus state by correcting the displacement of a focal plane in zooming by a focus lens 105 and a relative position information storage means for storing relative position information on a focus lens 105 as to a zoom lens 102, and also equipped with a 2nd power varying means which drives and controls the focus lens 105 at the time of the movement of the zoom lens 102 according to the stored data. A photographer performs the zooming operation while storing the camera with the relative position of the focus lens 105 about the zoom lens 102 and performs control for tracking the stored position in zooming from a wide-angle position to a telephoto position in manual focusing, thus constituting the lens controller which enables the excellent zooming operation without defocusing.
