Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device and lens drive method that prevent driving of a lens from being unstable when the lens starts to move.SOLUTION: A lens drive device comprises: a stepping motor 6 that drives a lens; an excitation change signal creation processing #11 that instructs a rotation position of the stepping motor; a GMR sensor 9 that detects the rotation position of the stepping motor; and a following delay calculation #3 that calculates a following delay from a difference between position detection information detected by the GMR sensor and position information instructed by the excitation position change signal creation processing #11, in which the excitation position change signal creation processing #11 can switch opening loop control of performing a position instruction with a predetermined pattern and closed loop control of performing the position instruction based on the following delay to be switched. The excitation position change signal creation processing #11 is configured to: when the lens starts to move, change a velocity advancing a position of the stepping motor due to the opening loop control on the basis of a fixed velocity pattern to accelerate the velocity; and, when the velocity corresponding to the velocity pattern reaches a prescribed value, shift to the closed loop control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5A
