Title:
LENS DRIVING MECHANISM OF CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04163431
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide exact zooming and focusing of a lens by applying voltage to a piezoelectric element to excite a progressive wave in the surface of an elastic body and operating a lens holder pressed against the surface of the elastic body arbitrarily.

CONSTITUTION: In an upper casing 1, a leaf spring 14 is fixed by a set screw 13 as a pressing means to press the end from a hinged part 1c against a lower casing 2, and slide parts 5a, 6a against respective piezoelectric elements 10, 11. When a progressive wave is excited in the surface of an elastic body by applying voltage to the piezoelectric element, lens holders 5, 6 where the slide parts 5a, 6a are pressed to the elastic body moves in an opposite direction to the progressive wave along an optical axis. Since vibrators 10, 11 are provided one by one for the respective holders 5, 6, it is possible to set the movement amount and moving direction of the holders 5, 6 individually for arbitrary position setting of lens 7, 8.
