Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002082314
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a lens-fastening mechanism of half-rim spectacles by constituting the mechanism, in such a manner that the lenses are fastened more surely by exhibiting the intrinsic strength of bands 4 for hangingly supporting the bottom edges of the lenses and which is capable of imparting decorative as well to the spectacles, as if needed.

Following technical means are adopted: while bands 4, connected to right and left rim bars 2, have anchors 42 and 42 at both ends of wire-shaped parts 41, mounting holes 21 and 21 fittable with the anchors 42 are formed near the arc ends of the respective rim bars 2; the anchors 42 and 42 at both ends of the bands 4 are respectively fitted into the mounting holes 21 and 21 and the wire-shaped parts 41 are fitted into the band grooves 12 of the respective lenses 1, by which the bottom edges are hangingly supported. Accordingly, the anchors disposed at both ends of the hands for hangingly supporting the lenses are inserted into the mounting holes and the bands are extended downwardly, by which the contact of the metallic rim bars with the corners of sewing holes and the flawing of the bands to the resultant cutting off thereof are eliminated and the intrinsic strength of the bands by right can be exhibited.
