Abstract:

To provide a lens fixing mechanism of a spectacle frame, which can surely fix lenses by simple operation and reduce a manufacturing cost without requiring high processing accuracy.

A front rim 1 is a plate-like member composed of a synthetic resin material having elasticity and forms a pair of right and left apertures 10. An engaging claw 11 to be fitted along the outer peripheral edge shape of each lens 2 is projected on the inner peripheral edge of each aperture 10, while a pair of notches 12a are formed on other portions of the inner peripheral edge. A lock claw 12 is formed between the notches 12a, and a slit groove 21 is formed along the outer peripheral edge of the lens 2. The engaging claw 11 is inserted from the side direction and engaged with the slit groove 21, and the tip portion of the lock claw 12 is curved and engaged with a part of the slit groove 21 of the lens 2 to insert and fix the lens 2 in the aperture 10.
