Two sets of first and second processing stages 6A, 6B are arranged side by side on a frame 2 arranged on a base 1, wherein the processing stage is structured of a pair of upper and lower work shafts 4a, 4b which have work holders 3a, 3b respectively mounted detachably on tip ends and can be lifted and driven to rotate on a same axis, and a wheel shaft 5 having an abrasive wheel 5a which approaches and separates horizontally from a workpiece (a lens) held by the work holders 3a, 3b, and grinds an outer circumferential surface of the workpiece. A work accumulating device for accumulating many workpieces in an aligned state is arranged on a rear side of the processing stages. A work loading device and a control device 12 for numerically controlling operation of the two sets of processing stages 6A, 6B are included on a work table.
