An IC chip 13 which can write and read out lens identification information by transmitting and receiving a prescribed write signal and read signal through two-way communication with a signal transmitter-receiver is embedded into a lens body 12 in molding the lens 11. The lens manufacturers and lens shape fabricator can therefore read the lens identification information from the IC chip 13 in accordance with the signal transmission and reception signal by the signal transmitter-receiver when receiving and shipping the lenses and the lens shapes. The optician's shops can easily reorder the same lens shapes again by reading the lens identification information from the IC chip 13 by the signal transmitter-receiver.
