To provide a lens sheet in which diffused light to be emitted from a light diffusion plate is collected efficiently to improve the luminance on the side of an observer, which hardly generates a side lobe and the luminance distribution of which is changed smoothly and to provide a backlight unit using the lens sheet, and a display apparatus.
The lens sheet 1 is constituted so that a plurality of first lenses 4 extending in straight lines are arranged in parallel to one another on the light emission surface 17a side of an almost sheet-shaped light-transmissive base material 17 to form a first lens array 3, a plurality of second lenses 6 extending along the directions, each of which and each of the extending directions of the first lenses 4 are made to cross each other, over the tops of the plurality of first lenses 4 are arranged in parallel to one another on the first lens array 3 to form a second lens array 5, and a plurality of third lenses 8 extending in straight lines are arranged in parallel to one another on the light entrance surface side of the light-transmissive base material 17 to form a third lens array 7.
