To provide a lens shutter for a camera suitable for miniaturization, which is configured so that at least an area facing a photographic lens is made thinner though a shutter mechanism and a light quantity control mechanism which are actuated by respective motors are unitized.
A shutter blade 7, a shutter blade 8, and a diaphragm member 9 are arranged in order from a subject side in a blade chamber formed between a main bottom plate 1 arranged on the subject side (front side in the figure) and an auxiliary bottom plate 2 arranged on an imaging device side. An aperture part 9b having a smaller diameter than an exposure aperture is formed on the diaphragm member 9. An ND filter 10 is attached to a back side of the diaphragm member 9 so as to cover the aperture part 9b. Two diaphragm blades rotating relatively are arranged instead of the diaphragm member 9, and the shutter blade 8 and the diaphragm blade existing on the shutter blade 8 side are composed such that they are always partially superposed and the superposed area continuously changes.
