Abstract:
To provide a lens unit that enables air-tightness of a seal member provided between an object side lens and an inner peripheral surface of a lens barrel to be surely inspected.SOLUTION: A part of an end part of a vent hole 40, inclusive of a flange part 35, provided in a lens barrel 11 is opened inward in a radial direction from an inner peripheral surface of the lens barrel 11, and at least a part of an end part at an image plane side of the vent hole 40 is opened. Thus, even when an image plane surface side lens 16 tightly adheres to a lens installation surface 35a of the flange part 35, air is surely filled inside the lens barrel 11 through the vent hole 40. Therefore, when a seal member 37 provided between an object side lens 12 and the inner peripheral surface of the lens barrel 11 is damaged, or is not mounted at a prescribed portion, a leakage of the air can be surely measured, which in turn air-tightness of the seal member 37 can be surely inspected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
