Title:
LENTICULAR DISPLAY BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10319345
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable an observer to visually sense all the picture elements from a cylindrical lens on a proper condition so as to observe a distinct image by constituting a composed image of digitally processed print output and making a lenticular sheet have shape satisfying a specified condition.

Plural images having parallax are the composed images arranged to be on an identical plane in linear picture element units in accordance with the characteristic of the lenticular sheet provided concurrently with the cylindrical lens, and the composed image on the lenticular display body is the print output of the digitally processed image. The lenticular sheet has the shape satisfying the condition of an expression. In the expression, P1 is the pitch of the cylindrical lens, (t) is the length of the lenticular sheet, R is the curvature of the cylindrical lens, α is the blotting amount of the image, D0 is an observing distance, (e) is an eye-to-eye distance, N is the number of images (the number of original picture of the parallax image), Pg is the pitch of one picture element, (n) is the refractive index of the lenticular sheet, and Z is the number of picture elements between the picture element visually sensed by a right eye and the picture element visually sensed by a left eye.
