PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level measurement method and a level measurement device capable of improving an S/N ratio when a level of a slag surface is measured.SOLUTION: With a level measurement method of the present invention, even when a slag surface 3 becomes more than a prescribed level H and a state of the slag surface 3 changes, a processing gain at a time of Fourier transformation processing can be increased in accordance with the state of the slag surface 3 by radiating a microwave of a second sweeping period T2 that is longer that a first sweeping period T1 toward inside of a furnace, allowing an S/N ratio to be improved when the level of the slag surface 3 is measured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
