Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level measuring apparatus and a level measuring method capable of improving the S/N ratio when measuring a level of a slag surface.SOLUTION: By increasing respective antenna gain G of a transmitting antenna 11 and a receiving antenna 12 by a lens unit 13, the S/N ratio can be improved at the time of measuring a level of a slug surface 3 in a level measuring apparatus 10. In addition, in the level measuring apparatus 10, by separately providing the transmitting antenna 11 and the receiving antenna 12, the transmission signal is not directly routed to the receiving side in the circuit, and the noise caused by the wraparound signal can be eliminated. Furthermore, by setting an optimal diameter d for the aperture 6 to improve the S/N ratio in consideration of antenna characteristics of the transmitting antenna 11 and the receiving antenna 12 and the characteristics of the slag surface 3, the level measuring apparatus 10 can improve the S/N ratio at the time of measuring the level of the slug surface 3 even when both the transmitting antenna 11 and the receiving antenna 12 are equipped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
