Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the conversion of a key code without disassembling a lock by forming it of first and second tumblers and a fixing plate, modifying an unlocking position by modifying a position engaging both the tumblers and fixing the first tumbler through the second tumbler with the fixing plate.
SOLUTION: When a blank key K is inserted in a lock at a key code conversion position, a tumbler 16 rotates a tumbler shaft 19 as a center against a plate spring 17 to the maximum clockwise. Subsequently when an inner cylinder 12 is rotated, a fixing plate 23 is axially moved, and a plate spring 18 is fixed on an edge 18a. Furthermore, when the inner cylinder 12 is rotated, an engaging tooth part 14b and a tooth part 16a are engaged. Thus, a tumbler 14 is also fixed with the fixing plate 23. The tumbler 14 is fixed at an unlocking position by the fixing plate 23, so that the action of the tumbler is stopped, and unlocking is performed regardless of a key crest. Thereby the conversion of the key code is freely performed and a master key and a reverse master key can be freely set.
