To provide a lever type tool and the like capable of facilitating an operation by improving operability.
In a compression plier 1, rear ends of dies 5, 6 are turnably coupled to tips of handles 2, 3 turnably coupled to each other with a handle shaft 8 as a center. The dies 5, 6 can be also turned with shafts 4a, 4b provided on a coupling plate 4 coupling the dies as centers. A temporary gripping tool 16 having such a shape that a pair of U-shaped side members 161 is coupled on one ends of the U-shapes, and using vertical rod portions of the U-shapes as arm parts 16a for temporary gripping is mounted to the handle 3 while the arm parts 16a are directed to the handle 2. When an electric wire is connected using the compression plier 1, the arm parts 16a and the handle 2 are gripped so as to make the handles 2, 3 close to each other. After a compression connector C set to recesses 7a (7b) at the tips of the dies 5, 6 is temporarily compressed and temporarily locked to conductor wires L, an operator can re-grip the handles 2, 3 with both hands to finally compress the compression connector C and connect the conductor wires L.
